Behind the experience.
Baseball season just got better! Thunder City Pro recently completed a major camera upgrade for the Tampa Bay Rays’ in-house production system, featuring three new Sony HDC-3100 camera chains. This strategic investment was designed to meet today’s production standards, prepare for future growth, and deliver a fan experience that truly hits it out of the park.
From consultation to execution, Thunder City Pro transforms investment into impact with a process trusted by top professionals. TCP provided full support at every stage, including evaluating infrastructure, recommending tailored solutions, and implementing the new systems with minimal disruption. Configuration, cabling, and signal integration were executed with precision and efficiency. Support continues well beyond installation, with ongoing training, maintenance, and technical services to ensure the Rays get lasting value from their upgrade.
With an approach built for the demands of professional sports, Thunder City Pro stands out as a true strategic partner. For the Rays, this upgrade is more than a technical improvement, it’s a forward-looking step that enhances both brand presentation and the fan experience for seasons to come.

Camera acquisition connected to the existing system
The Rays upgrade included three Sony HDC-3100 camera chains and the work needed to integrate them into in-house production. TCP’s contribution spanned infrastructure evaluation, equipment recommendations, configuration, cabling and signal integration, followed by training and technical support.
Planning a camera-system upgrade
Look beyond the camera head. Evaluate the camera-to-control-room path, operator controls, monitoring, intended formats and connections to the retained system. Agree how each chain will be checked and how the team will be introduced to the new configuration.
